Just the Four of Us!

This is the story of four sisters, Therese, Cecilia, Marianne, and Carolyn, on a first time ever

"Just The Four Of Us" adventure!

There are 10 kids in our family. A fact our father would love to point out to anyone he meets: holding up all ten fingers, “six boys, four girls! And this one (pointing to whichever child happened to be standing there) this is Therese, second born, first daughter, number 21 or this is Cecilia, number 42.  It is always a little embarrassing when Dad does this but it also makes us feel special to know that he is proud of our family and all his kids.  

And I guess we all kind of like the fact that we have a “number” in the family since we willingly wore shirts at our last family reunion that proudly displayed that number:  Marianne 73, Carolyn 104.  Even the grandchildren and in-laws have their numbers

On July 20, 2014, we four sisters begin a 10-day journey together.  We are lucky to have most of our "Cline Clan" on the West Coast and we do a lot together as a family.  We do things in big groups and we do them pretty often.  However, Therese lives on the East Coast so we don’t get to see her as frequently.  Hence this trip: the first time The Four Sisters will take a trip together with JUST the girls.  Pretty exciting!  

Cecilia and Marianne fly out of Seattle, Carolyn flies out of Portland and we meet Therese in Boston at 7:00 AM Monday, July 21.  Then a twelve hour drive (I know, what were we thinking?) to our main destination, Prince Edward Island.  This is the birth place of our family's favorite author, Lucy Maude Montgomery and the setting for the beloved characters from our favorite childhood book Anne of Green Gables.  

We are excited for our journey together and look forward to sharing our adventure on this blog.  We will post pictures, we will share stories briefly, we will enjoy knowing that you are following!
